How to maintain for long term storage (more than one week) and what are precautions?

  • Clean the area around the head and the station, perform [CUSTODY WASH], and if necessary, clean the nozzle surface* prior to turning off the machine.

Please refer to the "Daily Maintenance (Requests for Daily Care and Maintenance)" for the procedure
of cleaning the area around the head and the station.
Please see here for the procedure of [CUSTODY WASH].

* Clean the nozzle surface only if nozzle dropout persist despite regular maintenance and daily cleaning.
Cleaning the nozzle surface is only allowed for those who have completed training with our technicians.
Performing maintenance without the necessary training can potentially result in damaging the printhead.

Please refer to the "Cleaning procedure of head nozzle" for the procedure.

[Notes]
Please read and perform the following maintenance tasks before long-term storage.

(1) Please keep the main power switch on during long-term storage
The nozzle clogging prevention function automatically turns on to protect printhead nozzles.
Leaving the main power turned off for a long period of time may cause the nozzles to be clogged.

(2) Check the ink remaining level.
Maintenance fluid and ink suction works during cleaning operation.
During the operation, nozzle wash does not start if "INK END" or "INK NEAR END" is detected.
We recommend setting an ink bottle with sufficient remaining amount because regular maintenance during long-term storage consumes ink.

(3) Please dispose the waste ink in the waste ink tank.
If waste ink level is increasing in the waste ink tank during long-term storage, the function to prevent nozzle clogging does not work.
* For information on how to reset the waste ink amount, please see here.
